Celebrating Rotary Excellence at the Rotary Foundation Awards!

Rotary District 7600 recently held its Rotary Foundation Awards, a night of recognition and celebration of the incredible accomplishments by Rotarians and clubs across the district. This event showcased the profound impact Rotary creates locally and globally through grants, projects, and disease eradication efforts, including the fight against Malaria and Polio.
We were honored by the presence of Brenda Cressey, Rotary Foundation Trustee (2017–2021), as the Rotary International representative who presided over the event.
District 7600 Achievements for 2023-2024:
- District per capita: $227.36
- Ranked #3 of 17 in Zone 33
- Ranked #39 of 534 Districts
- Contributions: $491,321.12
- Ranked #4 of 17 in Zone 33
Congratulations to Rudy Lee Garcia, District Governor (2023-24), for his exceptional leadership and dedication in guiding the district to these outstanding achievements. His vision and commitment were instrumental in making 2023-24 a banner year for Rotary District 7600!
Rotary Club of Innsbrook Highlights:
Club Recognition:
Our club ranked 2nd in the district for per capita contributions, with an impressive $581.70 per member, totaling $27,340 for 2023-24.
Special congratulations to Gerard Shaia, Club Foundation Chair (2023-24), who received the award on behalf of the club. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to Susan Bishop, Club President (2023-24), for her exceptional leadership and dedication, which played a pivotal role in guiding the club to this remarkable recognition.
Member Recognition:
A standing ovation for Stephen Beer, recipient of the prestigious Rotary International Citation for Meritorious Service! This award is one of the highest honors bestowed by Rotary International, recognizing Rotarians who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to the Rotary Foundation.
Stephen’s unwavering commitment has been a beacon of service, as he actively contributes to the success of Foundation committees, the implementation of impactful grants, and the transformation of donations into sustainable projects that change lives worldwide. His work has directly supported Rotary Peace Fellows and inspired countless Rotarians to follow his lead.
Stephen’s recognition is a testament to his passion, leadership, and ability to turn Rotary ideals into meaningful action. Congratulations, Stephen, for this extraordinary and well-deserved honor!
