The Rotary Club of Leesburg was chartered May 24, 1927. The club´s service to Community and World is reflected in support of: the Free Clinic, Interfaith Relief, Doctor Overseas, Perry Winston Scholarships, Interact, Juvenile Justice, RI International and Polio Eradication, and many more beneficial service organizations and programs. To support its service programs, the Rotary Club of Leesburg conducts an Annual Resolution Race, now in its eleventh year, participates at the August Court Days with a lemonade and October fest tent, and benefits by the generosity of its members and donors. The Rotary Club of Leesburg has the distinction to hold a World Record set in 1933 of 288 Consecutive 100% Attended Meetings, and in 1930 was awarded the attendance record at the 25th Rotary Convention held in Chicago. Demonstrating respect for their history, over half the club members attended the Rotary Centennial Celebration in Chicago in June 2005.
