Junior Achievement/Rotary Partnership A Smash!

Sixth grade students joined Rotary Club of Jackson today to thank Rotarians personally for their work in teaching the principles of free enterprise and the global marketplace through Junior Achievement!

Many of the volunteers who spent countless hours in the classrooms shared reflections written by students.  John Billingsley is to be congratulated for his hard work in making this partnership happen.

Connie Poisson, director of Junior Achievement, sang the praises of John and fellow Rotarians.  "Without John and the many Rotary volunteers who worked with students in the classroom setting, we wouldn't have been able to serve the Middle School at Parkside."

Now there is budding interest in starting a Rotary Club for students called Interact.  Plans are being laid for a club to begin in the Fall 2015.  In addition, a career fair is being planned for November 2015 as well.  Congratulations, Rotarians, on Service Above Self.
