Rotarian Anne Fitzgerald introduced artist Henry Watson as speaker March 27th. Mr. Watson carves 100yr old cypress in a variety of scenes and paintings. His work was on display for the club and was just as fascinating as his words. Members of the club remained in their seats and were intrigued by his presentation to the club well after 1pm. His story was an interesting one and if you missed it, you really missed a good one! |

ROTARY ATTENDANCE TEAMS
3 Attendance Teams were randomly picked at the last meeting. Each team is encouraged to get together and choose a Team Captain and come up with a name for their team. Let Terri know who you choose and your team name. Good luck to all! Remember, ATTENDANCE IS KEY, but there are ways to make up your attendance. 1. Attend another Rotary club's meeting 2. Create an ezStory in dacDB 3. Attend an e-meeting 4. Visit RI website and complete a learning resource 5. Work on a project. 6. Attend an Interact Meeting 7. Make a "Rotary Minute" presentation to the club. Only the member can complete their missed attendances. All makeups must be completed and submitted within the month of the absence. Make-ups can be banked ahead of time if you know you're going to miss an upcoming meeting. |

Thursday, April 13, 2023 By Terri A. Gremillion Bunkie Rotary Club was chartered February 3, 1925, so the club is quickly approaching its Centennial! This is a great event which should be celebrated, but will require much planning. The Board and Club Leadership have agreed to establish a Centennial Celebration Planning Committee. This committee will be responsible for meeting regularly, working with city officials and businesses, seeking feedback from past and present club members, and promote the events associated with the Centennial celebration. Any members interested in joining the Centennial Celebration Committee are asked to contact the club secretary. Also, if you have any ideas on how we can commemorate this event, please contact Nita at 318-481-2725.
